The slip dress is having a major moment this summer and this fall, with style-setters wearing it every which way, from layered with a T-shirt over it, to solo with minimal accessories.

The flowy silhouette is universally flattering and there’s really no wrong way to style the look. For instance, you can take a really retro route by wearing a t-shirt underneath, tying a flannel around your waist, or adding a vintage denim jacket.

No matter your personal style, you can shop this trend and style it multiple ways, season after season. By changing only the accessories, you can create different and unique looks: sporty, trendy or edgy.

How to Wear a Velvet Slip Dress

Edgy

Well, if your slip dress is not enough to create a ’90s look, you can add a white t-shirt under it, a beautiful choker, or maybe two, and finally your sunglasses and your twist headband.

This is the perfect look to be edgy, to be unique. But, as I said, you can create your unique look, by changing only the details.

Sporty

I paired my Velvet Slip Dress from Mango with my new Bershka oversized denim jacket and my Adidas sneakers. This outfit is so funny but most of all – comfortable! You can wear it for a day out with your friend.

Elegant

There’s nothing sexier than a simple slip dress. Look for minimal styles and let your accessories do the talking. If you want to create an elegant look, you only need to add your high heels, some simple accessories and then you are ready to go 🙂
