How to write a blog in under 30 min
Are you super busy, but you still have a desire to write a blog? A lot of people are afraid of starting a blog because they don’t think they have enough free time to dedicate to it. When you think about writing a blog it can become very overwhelming. Your first overwhelming thought might be about all the research you’d have to do or even just the thought of choosing a topic to write about can drive you crazy.
Trust me when I say that I completely understand the feeling. I was putting off blogging for several months before I decided to completely commit to blogging. Over the past few years, I’ve realized that you don’t need to spend hours writing a blog, there are so many ways to help you learn how to write your blogs in under 30 minutes. Sounds impossible right?
Well, here are a few tips that will help you achieve this and maybe inspire you to write a blog today!
How to write a blog in under 30 minutes
Deciding on your blog topic
This seems like a no brainer, but sometimes you can get so caught up in choosing a topic that you end up wasting half the day on only the topic of your blog. Have you ever had plenty of ideas to write about, but then as soon as you sit down to actually start writing all those great ideas magically disappear.
Yeah me too!!!
In simple terms, it’s called a writer’s block and I think it’s happened to most writers.
I’m the kind of person that loves making lists, and I’m talking about physically writing them down. When sitting down to choose your blog post topic you should always have a notebook close by. This way when an idea randomly pops into your head you can quickly write it down before the thought disappears.
That’s why I started collecting notebooks and placing them around the house. So this way every time an idea comes to me I can just easily write it down in one of my notebooks. Then by the end of the week, I have a whole bunch of ideas to choose from or use as a guide to writing my blog.
Have a deadline
Being a blogger has lots of advantages, for example, being your own boss and deciding when you want to write. But sometimes this can make it harder to get the work done. It’s so easy to put off writing a blog because most of the time we undervalue the importance of blogging.
That is why I recommend you have a set time that you fully dedicate to writing a blog. You can choose your time depending on when you write the best.
Just make sure you stick to this time and hold yourself accountable. And remember that you will struggle to quickly write a blog if you have a hundred other thoughts on your mind. Make sure you have a good space before you start writing.

Writing your intro
I’m going to give you a really simple and straight forward tip. When thinking about your introduction you should just imagine your friend asking you “What’s your blog going to be about?”. Use this explanation in your blog as your intro. Explain what this blog will be about and what they will gain from reading it.
The reason why this works well for me is that it forces me to focus on a theme and a core concept for my blog post.
That’s why I often wait until I’ve finished writing the rest of the blog post before I write the intro paragraph. I find that writing the entire article first makes it much easier to summarize it in the beginning and use that as an intro.
Using Grammarly to write a blog
What is Grammarly? Grammarly is a browser extension that checks your writing for you. I use the free version, and it works on WordPress, emails, and pretty much anything on your browser. It catches a lot of the errors that I make and has actually helped my writing over time.
I used to struggle with my grammar a lot and I’d end up having to check my blogs several times before I was able to post them, but with Grammarly, it gets checked as you write and your grammar can be corrected in just a few seconds.
Now I only have to check my blog once before hitting publish. This is honestly a huge time-saver and something that every blog-writer should consider using.
Yoast SEO
SEO is such an important aspect when it comes to blogging. It ensures that your blog gets seen by as many people as possible. Yoast SEO is a must-have plugin that can be installed on any self-hosted WordPress site.
This plugin basically does your SEO for you and it lets you know if you’re missing something. It also gives you the exact steps on how to optimize your search engine.
It took me a while to understand the importance of it, but I don’t know how I would handle SEO without it.
I’m sure that these few steps can speed up your blog writing process. But like anything, practice makes perfect. The more you write the easier and faster you will be able to write your blogs.
Soon you will get the hang of it and then there will be nothing standing in the way of you and your blogging success.
