Fall means muted colors, dark oranges, and reds, leather jackets, ankle boots, but mainly, plaid. More specifically, cozy flannels that can be worn on their own or as a layering item, plaid shoes that look preppy but cute plaid jackets.
You can see plaid skirts, plaid jackets and plaid trousers everywhere.
How to wear plaid: 4 different outfits
This is not too surprising; models, actresses, and influencers have been wearing the printed layer for months, and it’s slowly taken over red carpets and magazine covers.
But how can we create some outfits that we can wear at work or during the day?
When I see a plaid blazer, it reminds me a little of 80’s fashion vibes, especially the oversize jackets.
If you don’t want to wear the blazer in the usual way, or if you are afraid of looking the same as everybody else, I show you 4 different ways to wear the plaid texture and get a unique look.
So, are you ready?
The protagonist of the first look is a Zara skirt, the ruffle detail on the skirt makes it a unique look.
I paired it with a white soft sweater, black booties with pearly detail on the front and a black hat. Edgy and elegant way to wear this skirt.
Want to wear a plaid jacket for a cocktail or a casual outfit? I have created the perfect look for you. I wear mom jeans embellished with pearls, a pink ruffle shirt, black ankle boots and my new Mango bag.
Elegant, with a cool touch: I wear this stylish shirt from Zara, where the texture is the main protagonist, with a beautiful white collar and sleeves. I paired it with plaid trousers, and the result is an elegant look, perfect for a working day. You can also add the jacket to these cool fall temperatures.
Plaid trousers and jacket
Need a classic look? Well, this is the option for you. Wear a simple shirt and then add your plaid jacket and trousers. This outfit is perfect for a working day or a meeting. Casual and elegant.
Add a touch of color as I did with my maxi bag.
What do you think about these looks? Which is your favorite one?
