Choker necklaces are my new obsession, you can find them in every shape and style. Vanessa Paradis wore the first choker necklace with an heart and a velvet string in the 90s. Whether your style is classy, punk, edgy, or sophisticated, there’s so many different ways to make this accessory work with your outfit. We’ve seen a lot of 90s trends make a comeback this past year, but 2016-2017 is all about chokers! Chiara Ferragni has just designed her own choker.
All-in-One choker necklaces
I love layering fabric chokers tied tightly around the neck along with other thin necklaces. When wearing a simple outfit, showing off a stacked style of minimal and chic chokers makes the outfit much more eye-catching. Layering thin chains and dainty chokers can also be really feminine and classy for a night out! If you don’t have the budget to buy multiple chokers, you can layer your thin short necklaces above your collarbone for a choker inspired look.

Lace choker necklaces
You can wear a lace chocker to get a more sophisticated look. The details of your lace choker will make your outfit more feminine; it’s perfect for modern and refined styles.
If you want a more daring outfit, you can choose a lace choker with a central jewel.
Wrap choker necklaces
Wrap chokers are very versatile and easy to style. They are the new trend. You can style them with a minimal look or, if you want, you can wrap chokers around your neck, leaving the tassels hanging down for a Bohemian look.

Oversized chain choker necklaces
These types of chokers definitely hint 90s punk and make a bold statement with any outfit you wear. For this reason I usually style them with simple outfits, to make the chocker stand out.
Statement choker necklaces
Statement chokers are perfect for a night out. A fabulous statement choker will make you feel sexy, feminine and fashion-forward. If your outfit is simple, adding this piece will change your look, giving it the perfect touch of style. Instead, for a daytime look, you can wear it with a pair of distressed jeans and a blouse for an edgy look!

I love the choker trend. When I first saw the ones from the Dior runway show a few seasons back, I wanted to get them! These are such great options, and probably more affordable. 🙂
